Keeping Up with Tricky Treaters

This year was a new experience for us! It was all about keeping up with the teenagers while hanging back with the gradeschooler and friends. How far ahead should they be that we are cramping their style....Probably the fact that we were there at all already was, so the point is moot.

The Simple Life

Finally a free weekend with nothing planned!!! We went on a ROAD TRIP two hours from home to Staheli Family Farm. We rode the tractor over to the corn field and spent some time getting lost in the maIze. One maize down and we decide to split up into teams for the next one: Mom & Lexi against Emily and Dad. I wonder how that turned how?!? Next up: the petting zoo and picking out our pumpkins. But I think the true hit of the day was the rope swing in the haystack. Aww...the Simple Life!

We are so into rules! Strange!

Green Acres is the place for me!

The rope swing was a huge hit with the girls!

Lazy Crazy Days of Summer

What to do with three little kids suffering from boredom and starting to argue? I asked my facebook friends and received great responses! First we made driveway paint and painted hopscotches and butterflies galore on the concrete, then the porch when it became too hot, and then finally giving up in search of a cooler activity.

Next up...

THE RASH FAMILY CIRCUS
STARRING

Teeky and Jeeky the CooCoo Clowns
a.k.a Tyler and Auntie Jenny
They are two funny juggling, honking, fools!

The Darling Dancing Divas
Kaylee & Emily
Their acting, dancing, and acrobatics will amaze you!

Monkey Boy
His pictures require parental warning and are not to be posted on this website
you will have to make do with his poster...
(use your imaginations)

Alexa the Great Lion Tamer
with Winston & Charlie
who fearlessly jump from staggering heights and perform all kinds of stupendous tricks!
Coming soon to a living room near you
(Big Top Tent not included)

What a terrific day to spend with the family. I wish we could do this stuff everyday...
but then I'd have t clean it up everyday too...hmmmm

A Day of Firsts

  • Emily's first time on a boat (not a cruise ship). She was pretty fearful to get on even with the PDF!
  • Alexa's first time water skiing. Didn't get up but she tried so hard!
  • Stephen & Alexa's first time driving a boat. Stephen even pulled a skier (kinda)
  • Mom (Kathy)'s first time trying to coordinate using a noodle to float on in the Lake = LOL
  • Dan, Alexa & Emily's first time cliff jumping. Emmy held tight to Dad's hand and only "tried" once. Alexa is a pro...with a bloody knee to prove it! Dan climbed up high with the big boys.
  • Uncle Lance's first time cramming 7 people on his boat!
  • As for me, no firsts...but a SPECTACULAR day!
